Traffic Study Open House

YOUR feedback is requested!

On Tuesday, April 30 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., the City of Loveland will host a public open house at New Hope Baptist Church, 1401 Loveland-Madeira Road. Review data from the West Loveland Avenue traffic study and offer your feedback.

The City of Loveland invites residents, local business owners, workers, and frequent area travelers to attend a public open house to review and provide feedback on several alternatives being explored as part of the West Loveland Avenue Traffic Study.

The city has been investigating alternatives for reducing traffic congestion and improving travel
time in Historic Downtown Loveland, particularly on and near the West Loveland Avenue Bridge
spanning the Little Miami River, an area in which traffic is particularly heavy during typical
commute times.

The West Loveland Avenue Study project team has identified three alternatives that could
potentially alleviate congestion in the area. These alternatives will be presented at the open house. The project team will give a presentation for those in attendance at 6 p.m. Attendees will also be able to examine exhibits of the alternatives being considered, ask questions of the project team, and provide verbal and written feedback. The city would like comments about the social, economic, and environmental impacts of the alternatives, including any information the public may have regarding the existence of archaeological, historic, ecological resources, or hazardous materials sites.

Individuals who require interpretation services or a reasonable accommodation to participate in
this meeting should contact the City of Loveland no fewer than two weeks before the open
house so that arrangements can be made. Public participation is sought without regard to race,
color, sex, age, national origin, or disability.

In addition, at the conclusion of the in-person open house, renderings of the alternatives
presented there will be posted to the city’s website. Residents and other local interested parties
are invited to view the alternatives and provide feedback through Thursday, May 30.

This is the second opportunity for the public to provide input for the West Loveland Avenue
Project. The city conducted a public survey for this project in June and July 2023 that received
more than 1,700 responses from interested parties
.

The project is not currently funded, and no timetable has been established for when any project
may be constructed. This study is the first step in the process to identify which alternatives to
carry forward into engineering and environmental studies.
