Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony

The City of Loveland’s Veterans Committee will hold the 2026 Memorial Day Program on Monday, May 25. Show your patriotism and honor those who have sacrificed so much for our nation’s freedoms. A military flyover is scheduled for approximately 9:45 a.m.

Parade — 9 a.m.
The event will start with a parade at 9 a.m. from Loveland Elementary School, 600 Loveland Madeira Road. If you or your organization would like to be in the parade, please register online.
Parade Route:
Roads will be closed approx. 8:45-10:15 a.m. for the parade.
-Leaves from Loveland Elementary School
-Travels Loveland-Madeira Road (toward Quilter’s Studio)
-Turns right on West Loveland Avenue (toward Historic Downtown)
-Turns left on Riverside Drive to Veterans Memorial
Parking:
-No parking at Tufts Schildmeyer and Schutte’s Cleaners
-Veterans Memorial parking lot will be handicap parking only
-No parking along Riverside Avenue

Ceremony — After Parade
Immediately following the parade, a ceremony will be held at the Loveland Veterans Memorial, located at the intersection of West Loveland Avenue and Riverside Drive. A military flyover is scheduled for approximately 9:45 a.m.
Guest Speaker: Chris Cravens was born in Bethel, Ohio, and raised in Cincinnati, where he graduated from Turpin High School before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. He served eight years on active duty as an infantry Marine and later worked as a federal investigator with NCIS. During his deployments from 2004 to 2012, Cravens saw combat in Fallujah and Ramadi, Iraq, as well as the Sangin Valley and Kajaki in Afghanistan.
His leadership and actions in combat earned him the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat “V” for valor, as well as two Combat Action Ribbons. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social and criminal justice and an MBA in Public Administration. Cravens is also a published author of Adjacent to Marine Corps Greatness: A Memoir of Servant Leader.
Drawing on the discipline and mission-focused mindset developed through military service, Cravens has founded and led companies across the medical, talent acquisition, fitness, and defense industries. He is the Founder and Executive Director of the 3C Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities through servant leadership training, veteran storytelling, and programs honoring fallen service members and supporting Gold Star families.
Cemetery Visits — Beginning at 11:15 a.m.
The community is invited to cemetery visits:
Maineville Cemetery: 11:15 a.m.
Union Cemetery: Noon
Kerr Cemetery: 12:30 p.m.
Community Picnic — 2 p.m.
The community is invited to a picnic at the American Legion Post 256, 897 Oakland Road.
