Experience a taste of Germany in Loveland at our upcoming annual community event! Join us for an authentic celebration featuring:
Biergarten featuring Warsteiner: Enjoy refreshing Warsteiner beers, and drink tips support CancerFree Kids.
Live Music: Featuring Oktoberfest’s latest hits!
Stein Hoist Competition: Test your strength and endurance in our Stein Hoist challenge.
Lederhosen Competition: Show off your traditional German attire.
Keg Tapping: Witness the ceremonial tapping of the keg.
German Food and Flair: Indulge in delicious German cuisine and experience true German culture.
Wiener Dog Race: A fan favorite! Calling all weiner dogs for a fun race on Saturday afternoon.
Shuttles will be be provided from area parking lots. A full schedule of the event and more details will be available closer to the event date.
Mark your calendars for a weekend filled with fun for everyone, featuring live music, food trucks, lawn games, and activities for the kids. Don’t miss out on this exciting event celebrating German heritage right here in Loveland!
The City of Loveland area businesses and the Little Miami River Chamber Alliances are turning the downtown Loveland area into a German village for a few days.
Two New Events This Year: On Saturday at 4 p.m., festival-goers can participate in the Beard & Mustache Contest https://www.jotform.com/build/252226547967165, showcasing their best facial hair styles for a chance to win prizes. Also new this year, attendees are encouraged to don traditional German attire for the Costume Contest on Saturday at 2pm: https://form.jotform.com/252256568606161
The Big 6 wheel game, beer puppeteer, and stein slide return! Live German music, a Biergarten, wiener dog race, kids inflatable zone will include face painting, the Warsteiner Emporium and much more make up the remainder of the weekend. Not to worry if you don’t have your dirndl dry cleaned, we will have German swag available for purchase on both days.
Restaurants and Bars will also be hosting German and music throughout the weekend. There will be German fare available ALL over Loveland from restaurants and vendors as well.
Mayor Kathy Bailey said, “The Chamber does a fantastic job creating such a fun and welcoming event for all ages. Oktoberfest has truly become one of Loveland’s premier celebrations, and we hope to see the community come out—lederhosen and dirndls included—to join in the festivities!”
CeeCee Collins, president of the chamber shared that, “We are so happy to hold Oktoberfest in downtown Loveland. We have a lot of festivals and fun activities in late spring and summer, now we have a fall event that our visitors can enjoy.”
A shuttle will be offered from the Shopper’s Haven parking lot from 5pm – 10pm each evening to provide easy access to the event. The shuttle will drop off at Veteran’s Memorial and make a continuous loop.
Friday, September 12
4PM-10:00 PM Event Begins, Biergarten opens, Food Trucks & Vendors, Lawn Games :
Warsteiner, and DVD Brewery beer on tap, and domestics & seltzers sold at Nisbet Park. Food options listed below. Games include a Mechanical Bull, Stein Slide, Big 6 Wheel, and Beer Puppeteer!
4PM – 8:00 PM Kid’s Zone:
Purchase a wristband for $5 which includes unlimited play time. There will be inflatable carnival games, a tall climb & slide, and check out the Who Dey Tiger jump & slide!
Faces by Lisa on site with incredible creations from Henna, to full face transformations; grab a caricature of the whole family by Over the Line.
