The Empty Bowls Story
Empty Bowls is an international grassroots movement that began in 1990 to raise awareness and funds for local organizations fighting hunger. What started as a student art project has grown into events held around the world, where guests share a simple meal and take home a handcrafted bowl as a reminder that hunger is an ongoing issue in every community.

Loveland Food Pantry (LIFE) Since 1988, the Loveland Interfaith Effort (LIFE) Food Pantry has been serving the Greater Loveland community by providing food, hope, and support to neighbors in need. Each month, LIFE provides nutritious food to hundreds of local families, stocks snack shelves in area schools for children experiencing food insecurity and offers emergency financial assistance to individuals and families facing crisis.

EmptyBowls Supporting Loveland Food Pantry
The 2026 Empty Bowls event marks the fifth year of supporting LIFE Food Pantry. Thanks to the generosity of local artists, potters, restaurants, businesses, and community partners, Empty Bowls has raised nearly $65,000 over the past four years to help fight hunger in our community.
More than 400 guests attended last year’s luncheon, enjoying a delicious meal donated by local restaurants and taking home a unique, handcrafted pottery bowl created by local artists. Every bowl tells a story of compassion, and every dollar raised helps ensure that local families have access to food and essential resources when they need them most.
