  • A proposed name must reach beyond a single or special interest group.
  • No culturally/religious/race/gender insensitive, profane, or non-sensical names will be considered.

The city reserves the right to select a name most appropriate for the parking lot based on geographical location (such as street names or adjacent landmarks); historical significance; active contributor(s) to the community; or other reasons.

Selection Process

All entries will be reviewed by city department administration, which will evaluate the names against the considerations mentioned above. A narrowed down selection will be given to City Council to make the final decision.

By participating, each contestant grants the City of Loveland a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, and irrevocable license to use and display publicly all parts of their submission. The City of Loveland will have the right to publicize the contestant’s name. The City of Loveland will not reimburse contestants for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a contest entry. Participation is voluntary. The City of Loveland reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify this contest, or any part of it, for any reason.
